The IRCTC Rail Connect is available on play store for free which you can directly download and book tickets instantly with just doing nominal registration procedure from anywhere in India at you fingertips.

Now let's get straight into the Application Details.

Registration and Booking your first ticket.

As soon as you get in you will see the beautiful interface of the application.The interface will show the Train ticket logo where by clicking you can start booking tickets.It will also show the other services that IRCTC offers like.

 • IRCTC Tourism
 • Air Ticket
 • Book Meal
 • UTS Tickets



It is also having the AI Bot called "Disha" which provides  you:

 • PNR Enquiry
 • Train Enquiry
 • Seat Availability
 • Fare Enquiry

User Registration:

As soon as you click on Train Tickit you will find 'Register' option on the bottom of the app.Tap on that for Sign up or register the new user with IRCTC.



The registration for IRCTC contains total three pages.

Page no 1:


User has to provide the below details:

 • Username
 • Password
 • Confirm password 
 • First name 
 • Middle name 
 • Last name 
 • Date of birth 
 • Gender 
 • Mobile number 
 • email id





Page no 2:

User has to provide the below details:

 • Nationality 
 • Security question 
 • Occupation 
 • Martial Status










Page no 3:

User has to provide the below details:

 • Address (Only Numbers & Alphabets up to 25 characters.No special characters.) 
 • Street (Only Numbers & Alphabets up to 25 characters.No special characters.) 
 • Area (Only Numbers & Alphabets up to 25 characters. No special characters.) 
 • Country 
 • State 
 • City 
 • Select Post office

After filling all the details you will see registration successfull message.

Now after the registration you will be redirected to login page.

In the login page you will be asked for the username and password which you have created during the registration process.It will also show two check boxes for show password and booking with OTP.

“Booking with OTP” option here in case OTP based booking is to be done instead of CAPTCHA during booking.



Generation of PIN after successful first login:

On first login, create any 4 digit numeric Pin of your choice, confirm the same and remember for all future logins then proceed.

Booking you first Railway Ticket:

When you enter the application after that a screen will appear which is known as the "Dashboard" which consists of below options.

 • Plan my journey 
 • My bookings 
 • File TDR 
 • PNR status 
 • Failed Transactions 
 • Refund Money




Click on plan my journey and you will be directed to booking menu.

In the booking menu you will have to select the source station by clicking on it and entering the station name.After that you have to select the destination station and the tap here to display calendar for selecting specific future journey date other than “TODAY” & “TOMORROW” an click on search train.

On the same page you will also find 'Flexible with Date' option checkbox to include trains that runs on other day and other checkbox for Special concession Booking.
                                 

After searching the details you will go to train list page there you will find the list of trains available on that route or going through that route,you have to scroll left or right to see all available quota options (GENERAL, LADIES, SENIOR CITIZEN, TATKAL, PREMIUM TATKAL, DIVYAANG). Train names with numbers is displayed in the list with the timing also  and you can select your desire train.On the right side of the train there you find logo of train and by clicking on that you can find the route of that train and the station on which train is going to stop. Just below the train name you will find the class 1A,2A,3A,SL and you can select any of your desire class. Now click on any of your desire class to continue booking ticket.

















After selecting the train of your choice you will be directed to next page for entering the passenger details. After entering passenger details you have to select insurance and the journey preferences page you will find boarding point change option,reservation choice(lower berth),coach preference, book only confirm, etc. can be added from here.On that page you have to enter mobile number in which the booking SMS, cancellation SMS and final seating confirmation (if applicable) related SMS would be.




After entering the passenger details and preferences you will be directed to payment page and IRCTC application support all the mode of payments.Either you can select “e-Wallets” to view and select payment option for making Payment or Tap on “BHIM/UPI, Net banking, Credit/Debit /Cash Cards, Others” to view and select payment option for making payment.After the payment is successful you can check the exact status of your ticket.
